THE PRACTICE OF GOLDEN EYES

#Enactment Series with Robert MacNaughton

December, 2015

In this conversation with Robert MacNaughton, Executive Director of the Integral Center in Boulder, Dustin shares some of the critical distinctions from his recently published book on Integral spirituality: Streams of Wisdom. They also discuss the very (almost frighteningly) similar themes in building Integral practice communities (Robert in Boulder, Dustin in San Francisco). Both communities developed relational practices, Integral Circling and We-Practice respectively, and learned lessons about the importance of having a shared theoretical context.

Specific points that Dustin addresses:

  • The 3 Core Practices for an Integral Community

  • What is (Integral) Spirituality?

  • The Importance of a Shared Theoretical Context in a Community of Practice

  • Vantage Points of Awareness or “State-Stages”

  • “Golden Eyes”: a practice for for enacting greater possibilities in our communities
